40 years have gone by.  June, 1970.  World Cup in Mexico. The Brazilian soccer team is tied with Czechoslovakia. Pelé scores the goal that turns the game around. He runs toward the Manchete magazine photographer Orlando Abrunhosa, junping, socking the air. Behind him, Tostão and Jairzinho. Abrunhosa shoots that moment non-stop, hardly having time to adjust the focus.  He thinks, “It’s all out of focus, It won’t be good.” Três no Tri, the new documentary by Eduardo Souza Lima (Zé José) tells the story of the most widely published sports photograph in the world and its author.  A production of Franco Filmes in partnership with Hy Brazil 2001 Films.
