Retratos Brasileiros (Brazilian Portraits) is a program on Canal Brasil, of the Globosat system, which presents an intimate profile of personalities of Brazilian Cinema.

Franco Produções produced the Program Retratos Brasileiros – Marcélia Cartaxo, which was directed by filmmaker Paula Gaitán.


Addicted to Freedom

Interviewed by her of her grandfather, granddaughter, who tries to understand the very modern thinking, Evandro Lins e Silva remembers the years of military dictatorship, when he was “retired” from his post on the bench of the Brazilian Supreme Court, which is “life tenure”, by Institutional Act Number 5.  He reminisces on the impeachment of Fernando Collor, in which he represented the Brazilian people against the then president of the republic; the famous Doca Street murder trial, and the case of José Rainha Júnior, discussion the question of the Landless Farmer’s Movement.

The documentary was co-produced by the Globosat channel GNT through the support of the Jan Vrijman Fund of the Amsterdam International Documentary Festival.
